We recently kicked off our Gold Coast Strata Series with an in-house information evening exclusively for strata committees. Hosted at our Gold Coast office, the event welcomed a strong turnout of engaged committee members ready to dive into some of the hot topics currently circulating in the strata world. It marked the first of many information evenings to come for this location — and what a great way to start.
Joined by Mark Mellick from Mellick Strata Law, the panel — featuring Mark alongside SSKB’s Peter Todd, Tom Bloomfield and Catherine Dickinson — tackled two of the most talked-about subjects in strata communities: EV batteries and towing. The discussion covered relevant legislation, practical advice for dealing with these situations, and insights into how both SSKB and legal professionals approach them. The passionate back-and-forth between the panel and guests made for an engaging, interactive session with plenty of questions and open conversation.
With plenty of food, drinks and great company, the evening was a brilliant success. Guests genuinely got into the topics and made the most of the opportunity to connect with both industry experts and fellow committee members. It was a fantastic way to launch our Gold Coast Strata Series — and we’re looking forward to hosting many more sessions in the future.
