Jessica Beckett

SSKB Head of Strata

Jess has worked with SSKB since 2013 and has managed some of Brisbane’s most complex schemes. Her diversified portfolio has led to her being knowledgeable in all areas of body corporate management, including specialist management of BMSs and layered schemes. In more recent years, Jess has taken an active role in supporting SSKB’s strata teams to provide proactive and exceptional service to bodies corporate with a solutions focussed mindset. Her passion remains true to SSKB’s mission statement “to make a positive difference in the lives of lot owners”.

Todd Garsden

Partner at Mahoneys – Body Corporate Solicitor

Todd leads Mahoneys’ body corporate practice. Admitted in 2013, Todd is an industry-leading body corporate lawyer who predominantly acts for bodies corporate, body corporate managers and lot owners on all matters affecting bodies corporate.

Todd’s body corporate clients include small-lot residential schemes, highly complex schemes, large residential schemes, resorts, commercial schemes and mixed-use schemes. His work for bodies corporate predominantly focuses on:

general advice concerning day-to-day management procedures, regulatory compliance, governance decision-making (including drafting of documents, motions and agreements); and
managing various transactions including assignments, variations, extensions and common property leases.

Todd is an active member of the Strata Community Association of Qld (SCA). In 2019 he was appointed to the SCA legislation committee and assisted in making submissions on behalf of the SCA and the industry on legislative reform in body corporate law.

Todd also regularly shares his knowledge and experience with body corporate managers and other industry stakeholders through newsletters, published articles, webinars and body corporate manager training.

Todd is supported by a team of specialist body corporate lawyers with a mix of advice, transaction, town planning, construction, development, dispute and litigation experience along with Mahoneys’ other practices extending to litigation (led by Ben Seccombe) and property (led by John Mahoney).

Mahoneys was named “Law Firm of the Year” at the 2023 SCA awards.

Kelley Rigby

Kelley is the face behind the Letts Group brand. Kelley holds her full Real-Estate License and has over 11 years experience in the Management Rights Industry. She spent her early professional life completing a Certificate of Administration but quickly learnt she was best on ground and working with people. Kelly has some great communication tips to assist with Building Managers getting units back into the onsite letting pool.

Brendan McGrath

Chief Innovation and Technology Officer

Brendan has worked in various leadership and management positions across a number of industries over the last 15 years. With a background in marketing and psychology, he provides a unique lense to his role. As Chief Innovation & Technology Officer, his drive for collaboration, optimisation, and ongoing transformation provide the perfect skillset for the SSKB Group to continue to be a market leader in its services to the wider strata community.

Mark Mellick

Legal Practitioner Director at LawSolve

Mark is a recognised specialist in body corporate and community title law, practicing exclusively in this field since 1997.

He assists bodies corporate with all their legal needs, from advising on legislative obligations to handling management rights assignments and representing them in disputes. Mark also advises developers on structuring community schemes and ensuring compliance with legislation.

An active member of SCA (QLD), Mark has served on the event committee and drafted the standard administration agreement for the organisation. He is also a member of the Australian College of Community Association Lawyers and dedicates significant time to educating body corporate managers in Queensland through teaching, presentations, workshops, and articles.

Brendan Edwards

SSKB Sunshine Coast General Manager

Brendan Edwards has been with SSKB since July 2009 and has been the General Manager of the Sunshine Coast and Far North QLd branches for the past 7 years. Brendan has over 15 years experience working in Hotels and Resorts with his last 4 years prior to starting with SSKB as a Resident Unit Manager in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast.

Brendan has a unique understanding and perspective of many issues that bodies corporate encounter due to his time spent as a Resident Unit Manager and thrives on problem solving and assisting his bodies corporate to achieve a desired outcome. Brendan’s portfolio ranges from Maroochydore to Hamilton Island.
