We are now half-way through our Resilience in ISO webinar series, which thankfully means we are half-way through the current restrictions placed on our Melbourne residents.  

Assisting the Owners Corporations to navigate the responsibilities to keep residents safe, financial stress from a lot of owners and keeping common areas locked down are just some of the work our Owners Corporation Managers are tackling, while being locked down themselves. We have thousands of clients in Melbourne who will be experiencing the next six weeks from their apartments and we want to help where we can.

We had our third Facebook live event with Greg Layton on Tuesday August 25. You can check this out on our Facebook page if you missed it! The third session was all about routines and how to apply them. Greg is also currently in Melbourne experiencing lockdown and is one of Australia’s most in-demand executive coaches.

Greg has put together these weekly sessions purposely. We started off in week one with building a resilience toolkit in iso to understand what your stresses are and looked at mantras to help get yourself out of any negative thoughts you may be experiencing. Last week in our second event we spoke more about mindfulness, meditation and flow to get into a more positive frame of mind on a more regular basis. 

These events will continue every Tuesday lunchtime for 6 weeks. With just three weeks to go you don’t want to miss out! They will be recorded if this time does not suit, as we want as many clients as possible to reap the benefits. 

Some of the key takeaways from the event were:

Greg started of the session by telling a story. Greg has spent a lot of his life working in elite sport and in the business. He has discovered that in all of the best teams he has worked with, is that there is a clear operating rhythm and weekly or daily routine. This does not mean you need to have the exact same schedule each day, it is about routines that have a set of principles and actions attached to them. 

This session was centralised how to apply routines to this new environment that many of our clients are facing in Melbourne. Your old routine will not apply to this new world of iso. But do not worry, Greg has talked us through step by step how to build routines to work for the new environment. He also stressed the difference between routines and restricting schedules.
