We are now over half-way through our Resilience in ISO webinar series, and have now unfortunately been hit with an extension on the lockdown. The mental health and wellbeing of our clients and staff in Melbourne is a top priority, and with 1 session left we hope our clients can attend and gain something of value.
Assisting the Owners Corporations to navigate the responsibilities to keep residents safe, financial stress from a lot of owners and keeping common areas locked down are just some of the work our Owners Corporation Managers are tackling, while being locked down themselves. We have thousands of clients in Melbourne who will be experiencing the restrictions placed on Melbourne from their apartments and we want to help where we can.
In our earlier sessions have worked through routines, rituals, mindfulness and more! The second half of our series so far has been focusing on visions and focusing on coming out of lockdown on top. Greg Layton has started to talk us through new habits and tools to help our Melbourne clients post lockdown.
We had our fifth Facebook live event on Tuesday September 8. You can watch this on our Facebook page if you missed it! The fifth session was all about executing your vision.
These events are occurring every Tuesday lunchtime and with only one week to go you don’t want to miss out. They will be recorded if this time does not suit, as we want as many clients as possible to reap the benefits.
We will also be putting together a Resilience in Iso pack that will encompass all six sessions – we will post this in the event at the end of the series.
In our fourth event we talked about life visions, last weeks event focused on executing these visions.
Some of the key takeaways from the event were:
Greg started the session of my sharing a Yoda quote.
When Greg was journaling on a few old Yoda quotes on Monday night, this one really hit home.
Greg said it forced him to realise that at times he is losing his truest self and gets suffocated by frustration, cabin fever and anger.
Then he read this one and remembered just how good Yoda really is…
“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
Three Questions Greg ended up thinking about in some depth were:
1. What do I actually have to fear right now?
2. “Who” do I need to be in this challenging time?
3. What is my renewed mindset and action for this week?
There are big things and little things that’ll get us through. In the current environment Greg talked about how he is starting to learn that both are as important as each other.
One thing Greg stressed throughout the session was the importance of chapters when planning your vision. This means you pick a period of time and give it a theme. It is about breaking your goals and visions own into chapters and understanding when the right time is to complete certain goals.
Greg talked about an area where people often go wrong with their vision. People often want to do everything now. In this case, if you say everything is now, it sort of means nothing is later. It is important to create a timeline for your goals and your vision.
We are all in this together and are sending our support to our Melbourne office and clients. If you would like to attend our next event click here to register.
